Five New Airport Lounges in the US!

It’s a good day for fellow airport lounge lovers! Priority Pass has added four lounges to its program and another Escape Lounge is on the way!

Four New Priority Pass Additions in the US

Priority Pass — a worldwide, independent network of over 1,000 airport lounges — emailed members today that three airport clubs and a distillery are now part of the program!

The new additions include:

  • The Club at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)‘s concourse C
  • Salon Aeromar at McAllen TX Miller International Airport (MFE) 
  • The Club BWI in concourse D at Baltimore/Washington MD International Airport (BWI)
  • House Spirits Distillery in concourse C at Portland International Airport (PDX). Priority Pass notes that House Spirits Distillery is the “only distiller in the world to have opened an airport tasting room.” House Spirits makes a number of spirits — including vodka, whiskey, aquavit, and rum.

The Priority Pass airport lounge network include airline clubs (Virgin America Lofts, Korean Airlines Lounges, Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges, SkyTeam lounges, and many others) and independent clubs (The Club, etc).

Members may use visit lounge in the program’s network and within their respective membership level. In other words, you can fly Southwest and pop into the Virgin America Loft.

Priority Pass offers several membership options. In honor of the company’s 25th anniversary, Priority Pass is running a special right now with discounts up to 25%. (Priority Pass Select membership is complimentary for American Express Platinum and Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders.)

Escape Lounge in Reno!

Gary Leff at View From the Wing writes today that Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) will soon have an Escape Lounge. The lounge should be open this winter, says The Reno-Gazette Journal.

Escape Lounges (not to be confused with Escape Club) are a chain airport lounges in the United States and Europe. They offer complimentary snacks (think charcuterie), desserts, and well drinks. Premium food options (hot, plated meals) and cocktails are available for purchase.

Admission is $45 (or $40 if you book online) per person. Admission is free, however, for American Express Platinum cardholders AND up to two guests.
