Wanna Get Away? Southwest Flash Sale on Now!

Written by on June 6, 2017 in Travel Deals

Looking for discounted airfares? Southwest is running a flash sale through this Thursday, June 8!

The airline of LUV’s lower fares are valid for both paid and award redemptions. Existing reservations are eligible for reduced fares, too!

Southwest Airlines flash sale through July 8, 2017.

One-way fares start as low as $49 each way (not roundtrip!) or 2,330 points (not including government/airport surcharges). The special is good for domestic and international airfares from August 22 through December 13, 2017, with certain exceptions.

Southwest offers a list of discounted routes and rates at Southwest.com.

Save Money on Existing Southwest Trips

Do you already have a Southwest trip booked? Check your itinerary’s pricing against the special fares. Differences are refunded with Southwest credit (if paid for with credit card or PayPal) or Rapid Rewards points (if booked with points).

I recommend calling Southwest Rapid Rewards customer service at (800)-445-5764.

Good to Know

Purchases must be made before 11:59 p.m. on June 8, 2017, “in the respective time zone of the originating city.”

Domestic travel is not valid on Fridays and Sundays.

Certain days Labor Day weekend and weeks surrounding Thanksgiving aren’t eligible. Per Southwest: “Domestic travel blacked out September 1, September 4, & November 17-28, 2017. Sale fares to international destinations blacked out September 1-2 and November 18-20, 2017; sale fares from international destinations blacked out September 4-6 and November 25-28, 2017.

Assuming your travel plans are flexible and meet those conditions, you can save yourself some good money flying Southwest this fall and early winter!
